I started playing squash at the age of 9 when my older sister invited me to play with her at Abercorn Sports Club in Edinburgh. It was here that I developed a passion for the sport and I have been hooked ever since.
I started to have coaching and was entered for local tournaments where I managed to reach the final rounds. From there I was selected for the Scottish junior squad and was lucky enough to be selected for the Scottish under 14 national team. I went on to become the British junior champion when I was 13.
I played squash professionally for 6 years before making the transition to squash coaching. I started my career in Glasgow and moved to the Midlands in 2001 where I coached at David Lloyd, Aspley and in 2002 I became the squash professional at David Lloyd, Derby.
In April, 2009 I was delighted to be asked to become the resident squash professional at Lumb Farm Country Club. This is an exciting new venture where I hope to develop a growing squash community.
